Contruction Supervision
Subsequent to an initial design review, our consultants typically liaise with the project team to undertake site inspection visits. Whether air leakage, thermal continuity or acoustic insulation is the concern, site visits give the added security that the build is going according to plan. Remember, our consultancy packages are tailored to your needs to ensure you’ve got it all covered.

Defect Investigations & Expert Witness Services
Defect Investigations
Building Sciences can undertake detailed investigation of roof and wall performance failure. The types of defect frequently encountered are roof leaks and/or wind damage; poor standards of workmanship and design; heat, air or moisture performance problems in new or existing assemblies/buildings.

Investigations typically involve specification and detailed drawing assessments, site investigation using non-destructive testing techniques, or the physical opening up of the affected construction.
Full written reports are provided with photographic records (still and video where appropriate) of any site opening up investigations. Opinions can be provided on why performance failure has occurred and suitable remedial works to eliminate the problem.
Expert Witness Services
Expert witness services are provided by experienced senior consultants in situations where legal proceedings have, or may be, instigated. Our consultants have particular specialist knowledge of profiled metal, composite panel, fibre cement and other roof and wall cladding materials.
Seminars and Workshops
Complex or highly specified projects may require more specialised knowledge and a greater degree of co-ordination than usual. We have successfully delivered seminars, workshops and toolbox talks for architects, construction managers, building control bodies and site teams. When we have time, we also present talks at expositions and in colleges and universities.
